What this site collects, which is almost nothing, and what it does with it.
The short version
This website sets no cookies. It runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. It has no forms, no accounts and no login. It asks you for nothing, and there is nothing on it to fill in.
Three things are nonetheless true, and the rest of this page explains them: your browser stores which language you chose, two font services see your IP address, and if you write to us we keep your email.
Who is responsible

What the site stores on your device
One item, and it is not a cookie. When you choose English, Italian or
Portuguese, the browser records that choice in local storage under the name
laudenya-lang, with a value of en,
it or pt. It is what stops the site forgetting your
language every time you open another page.
It never leaves your browser. It is not sent to us, it is not readable by anyone else, and it identifies nothing about you beyond which of three languages you would rather read. Clearing your browsing data removes it, and the site keeps working — it simply opens in English again.
Because it is strictly necessary to provide a feature you asked for by clicking a flag, it does not require consent under the ePrivacy rules. We would tell you either way.
What third parties see
The site loads its two typefaces from services we do not run. Your browser fetches a stylesheet from each, which means each of them receives your IP address, the page you are on, and the standard information any web request carries:
- Adobe Fonts (
use.typekit.net), operated by Adobe. Adobe states that it does not use Adobe Fonts web-font requests to build advertising profiles. - Fontshare (
api.fontshare.com), operated by the Indian Type Foundry.
These are the only requests this site makes to anyone other than its own host. There is no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel, no social embed, no chat widget, no video platform, and no consent-management vendor — because with nothing to consent to, a consent banner would be theatre.
Because these requests transmit an IP address to a third country, this is the part of the page a European visitor should read closely, and the part counsel should look at first. Self-hosting the typefaces would remove it entirely, and is being considered.
Server logs
The published site will be served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard access logs — IP address, time, page requested, browser and referring page. These exist to keep the site running and secure. We do not use them to profile visitors and we do not combine them with anything else.
If you write to us
The addresses on this site are ordinary mailboxes. If you email [email protected], [email protected] or [email protected], we receive your address, your name if you sign, and whatever you write. We use it to answer you and to keep a record of the correspondence. We do not add you to a mailing list, because there is no mailing list.
Your rights
Under Brazil's Lei Geral de Proteção de Dados (LGPD), and under the GDPR where it applies to you, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal data about you, to give you a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict how we use it, or to say who we have shared it with. You may also complain to a supervisory authority — in Brazil, the Autoridade Nacional de Proteção de Dados.
Given what is described above, in almost every case the honest answer to such a request will be that we hold nothing but an email you sent us. Ask anyway; you are entitled to be told.
Children
This site is written for veterinary professionals, farmers, animal owners, journalists and investors. It is not directed at children, and it collects nothing that would identify one.
Changes
If this site starts doing something it does not do today — a newsletter, a contact form, analytics — this page changes before that ships, not after. The date at the top is when it last changed.
